Nucleus® Freedom™ is the next generation in cochlear implant technology.

Nucleus Freedom consists of an implant and a sound processor. The sound processor can be worn behind the ear, or on your body.

Nucleus Freedom works by picking up sound through a tiny microphone and converting to digital signals. The implant uses those signals to stimulate hearing nerve, which creates the effect of sound.

Freedom is also the first splash- and sweat-resistant processor, delivering improved confidence for wet situations.

The next generation in high-performance cochlear implant technology is now also available for people currently using a Nucleus 24 implant.
